The Gemma Doyle Trilogy

My uncle sent me the first of these books, and I got the other two from our local library. This trilogy is about a girl, Gemma Doyle, whose mother dies under mysterious circumstances. Gemma is sent away to Spence, a boarding school for girls. While there she receives visions and several of her teachers there speak of a realm filled with magic. Gemma makes friends (and enemies) quickly, and while going about her life at Spence, realizes she has more power than she ever thought possible. I would recommend for ages 13 and up.
